Head north towards the Ounianga Lakes. Pass through Tokou and witness the changing desert landscape as you approach Ounianga Kebir, known for its vibrant blue and green lakes. Camp near the lakes.
Full day to explore Ounianga Kebir. Marvel at the saline lakes, some fresh, some saltier, and the surrounding palm groves. Enjoy the unique micro-climate created by these lakes. Camp overnight.
Short drive to Ounianga Serir, a smaller but equally stunning series of lakes. Walk among the lakes and enjoy the tranquility of this remote UNESCO World Heritage site. Camp overnight.
Begin the journey south, passing through Tibou settlements. Continue towards Faya Largeau, a major oasis town in northern Chad. Overnight in a simple guesthouse or camp near Faya.
Explore Faya Largeau and its palm groves. Then, embark on a scenic desert crossing, traversing vast sand dunes and rocky plateaus. Camp in the open desert.
Continue your desert journey. Depending on flight schedules, reach an airstrip for your return flight to N'Djamena. Transfer to your hotel upon arrival. Overnight in N'Djamena.
